Here are five great places to try sushi in Nassau County.
Arata Sushi, 18 Cold Spring Road, Syosset: "Great food! Amazing service! All the Arata-style sushi is great. The prices are a little high but 100% worth it," a Facebook comment says.
A May 2 post on Facebook doesn't mince words. "The best sushi sashimi in town," says the review.
Sushi Family, 933 N. Broadway, Massapequa: "Amazing sushi place. Staff is super friendly! There is a very wide variety of rolls (like 80), meaning there is really something for everyone. They gave me and 3 friends 3 free appetizers. One consisted of a delicious pepper tuna and crab tempura cake of some sort which was also delicious," Alanna H. of Wantagh said in a Yelp review.
Teresa S. of New York City. on Yelp, says, "love this place. We do girls night here and they have so many creative fun rolls to choose from. A great price too for those on a budget."
SOKU Asian Fusion, 36 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck: Jiejie Y of Virginia Beach a week ago reviewed this new restaurant a week ago on Yelp. "SOKU is absolutely NOW my favorite restaurant in town. The food there is just amazingly delicious," said the post....level of freshness for the food, the taste of each plate, hot sake, the enjoyment look of each amazingly decorated Sashimi combo, the fine design of the restaurant, the air and scent of the environment."
Sasa Hibachi Sushi, 2119 Broad Hollow Road, Farmingdale: Look for this one hidden in the Target plaza where you'll find "Great sushi and sashimi, and friendly service," says a Facebook review.
"Great Sushi and Sashimi, and friendly service," another post online says. And another person said their daughter "loved her spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon at the restaurant.
Hibachi Sushi Ya, 2311 Jericho Tpke., New Hyde Park: Here you not only get great sushi you are greeted with a smile online multiple review posts online say.
In April, Santiago A. of Oceanside posted this on Yelp: "We had the John roll, the Kellen toll, the monster roll, and a good old spicy crunchy tuna roll. Everything was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to come back again. Besides the food being amazing, I can't believe how great the service was here. Every single employee was friendly, smiling."
